Defensive Use of Tracing Horlock v. Horlock¸ 533 S.W.2d 52 (Tex. Civ. App. – Houston [14th dist.], writ dism’d).  H owned stock in a corp. Corp merged withanother Corp. H invested 100 K more into the merged corp. The Merged Corp. was worth nothing but had potential. Wife traced H separate estate to make a claim for reimbursement. She wanted the community to get the 100K back. Didn’t want to own any stock in a worthless corp.
